I've been planning to move from Wordpress to completely static site for 8 months now. I dabbled with Hakyll, but ended honing my python skills by writing few scripts to do the same. The scripts are pretty much throw away quality, but it was certainly nice to write some python after a long while.

The site isn't quite finished yet, but I suppose this is the Minimum Viable Product. Also I've had couple of blogging ideas, but put them off as I didn't have anything ready. My old blogs are running on this same server as static sites. This is also an experiment with running static sites out of a low end VPS. This one has 128MB of memory. The traffic is very light, but some load tests show that the server goes down with somewhat low load.
